Your hand
painted glassware has been crafted by Marite Hewitt to provide you with
years of enjoyment from these unique treasures, whether you have a
mixed set of the immensely popular "Tulip" Glasses, the "Canadian
Wildlife Series" or my own favourite, "Summer Tulip Series".
Appreciate and value the variations in each piece of your hand painted
stemware, they are a hallmark of fine hand painting and each is an
individual creation.
You have to do
your share to care for them. They are dish washer safe but we would
like you to hand wash them in warm soapy water to protect them against
chipping. Even though Marite uses three coats of paint and fires them
in a kiln to give you that unique translucent look that allows you to
use and admire them every day, they are glassware and should be treated
with care to give you years of enjoyment.
Please Avoid:
Being concerned about a small bubble in your glassware, this is not a flaw but a natural characteristic of the glass.
Storing your glassware upside-down.
Holding a glass by the foot with one hand while washing or drying the bowl with the other, you may snap the stem.
Letting a glass slip out of your grasp while washing.
Alowing your
hand painted glassware to soak for an extended period of time or your
drying towel be become very wet as a wet linen towel will cling to the
glass and increase the probility of breakage when wiping.
Finally, enjoy your hand painted glass and use if often to light up your table!
